All the career-oriented courses have a contact hour of 180 and commence on 24 September 2005. They are to be held on Saturday mornings and afternoons, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Except for training which requires special facilities, such as automotive workshop, beauty salon and others, all Caritas COCs can be offered at your own school campus upon negotiation with our training institutes.
All our COCs can be offered in English. The medium of instruction can be negotiated with our training institutes for Mode 2 training.
Caritas recognizes the qualifications obtained by its students who successfully complete the course as equivalent to one HKCEE pass for admission to other Caritas programmes. The EMB, and the course providers of COC, are seeking recognition from other tertiary institutions offering further education opportunities for the COC graduates. In the long run, the qualification of the COC would be subsumed under the Qualifications Framework.
COC can only be applied through secondary schools for now. Students must enroll in secondary schools in order to apply for COC. Youth who are out of school can apply to other programmes like the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme or the Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme. |
